Joshua Lavar Butler, '10 BS, (aka @joshualavar) twittered us that he was elected to the 22nd Navajo Nation Council and is now serving a four-year term representing the community of Tuba City, Arizona. Previously, he was press officer/communications director for the Navajo Nation. Joshua has also served as executive director of the Navajo Government Development Office in Window Rock. Congrats!
Christina Suarez, '10 BS, (photo left) completed her 12 month Human Resources Corporate Management Training program with the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. She was then promoted and transferred to the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek in Avon, Colorado, where she is now the recreation manager.
Benjamin Duval, '10 PhD, wrote an article, "Deepwater Horizon oil spill made a city's worth of air pollution," for Earth Sky. Ben is a research scientist who studies human influence on global biogeochemical processes, and ecological issues related to land use change. Read his article.
Citlali Cortés-Montaño, '11 PhD, recently accepted a position to work as a postdoc with Ernesto Enkerlin at ITESM (also known as "Tec de Monterrey") in Monterrey, Mexico. The position is very open-ended and it will entail helping him develop a biodiversity and conservation research line at TEC.
